The once called leader in the global mobile market, the Nokia Company is about to revive thanks to the Asian and Finnish interest by the company. The revival comes after the agreement that they have reached with a new Finnish company called HMD Global Oy and the Taiwan signed Foxxcon to acquire the rights to use the brand and various assets to the Microsoft Company. Both have pledged to launch the new smartphones and tablets with the Nokia brand with its own operating system.

Nokia returns to its origin. Foxconn was years ago a manufacturer of the Nokia Company’s phones, at a time when the mark was almost the undisputed market leader, the reality changed with the iPhone’s arrival of Apple's hand and when it came the Android operative system, and finally the Microsoft Company bought the Nokia Company in the year 2013 by 7,200 millions of dollars. At that time, the company was sold for 7.000 million dollars, and now returns to its "original" manufacturer for only 350 million of euros.

The company Foxconn has a very clear business line that will follow from now on: the trade name Nokia will continue and more style tablets will develop the Nokia N1 , as well as the mobile phones, both of basic style as the smartphones. Maybe we'll shortly see in the market a new Nokia C1.

The Microsoft Company has so far focused all its attention on improving its mobile operating system, relying on the difference in an increasingly dominated by the iOS and the Android market. What for some users is an added value on the phone, for others it becomes an obstacle, because it’s increasingly common for the application developers to focus exclusively on the two dominant operating systems, completely bypassing the phone owners like the Nokia Lumia.

In fact, in the last quarter they have plummeted the sales of the smartphones Nokia Lumia: only 2.3 million have been sold worldwide, a 73% less than the same period in the last year. And maybe an important factor for this failure is precisely the operating system, which still does not fully satisfy the users.

The Microsoft Company now has the tough task of trying to regain a decent position in the market for the Windows Phone, while the rights of the basic Nokia against the Foxconn Company. The new company will face the challenge of reviving a brand that was a leader in the early mobile telephony and could regain a good position in the market by incorporating the Android operative system. Currently, three out of four smartphones in Europe use this operating system .

In the years 2014 and 2015, the Microsoft Company laid off more than 25,000 employees, most of them in the mobile sector. With the sale of this basic line to FIH Mobile, around 4,500 workers will again change the office and work directly to the Foxconn Company, where the Nokia Company will develop the new terminals and provide the service and support for those terminals.
