This application was created in 2012 in a college campus of the University of South California, made by Sean Rad, Justin Mateen, Jonathan Badeen and Ramon Denia. The application was a success and they decided to launch it in the applications market.
It is considered as one of the pioneer applications to have dates, and is one of the most important applications in the digital market, in fact, it was nominated in 2014 as application of the year at the Enter.Co Awards. By then it had more than 50 million users. Now it has more than 100 million users around the globe.
How Tinder works?
Tinder has a very simple interface that allows any people to use it. It consists of showing a series of profiles, based in the preferences that you chose, such as the location, gender and age.
Later, you can choose according to the profile pictures of the person. If you like him/her, swipe your finger to right part of the screen to indicate that you like that person, swipe left if you do not like the person. This is all in an anonymous way.
When two people coincide, the application will notify both users and they can get in touch via the application chat and later agree on a date or exchange phone numbers.
Currently, the application is available in over 24 languages in all the countries of the world, and it is available to download in the Android as well as in the IOS operating systems, in their respective virtual stores: Google Play and ITunes.
The application in Android can only be downloaded for those who have their phone with the 4.3 operating system and with 18MB of available storage space. For IOS operating system is available for phones with the 7.1 update and must have 50.7MB of available storage space.
With the latest update of Tinder, you can press the blue star or swipe up to send a Super Like, this is an indicator that you love that person, and you want to meet her/him.
Also, it is possible to have a Premium, Tinder Plus account in which you can access more advance options, such as a Passport to Connect with people.
